Why This List Looks Different
Most 'best home lift companies in Singapore' lists are written by marketers who have never set foot on a landed property site visit. We have. DirectHome refers home lift projects to a small network of installers we have worked with over years of landed property upgrades, so we know which companies actually pick up the phone after the deposit clears and which ones go quiet.
This guide is our honest read of the companies you will encounter when you start getting quotes. We are on this list ourselves because we coordinate these projects — but we will tell you straight when another setup might suit your home better. The goal is for you to walk into your site visits already knowing what good looks like.
Prices quoted below are typical 2026 ranges for a two-stop installation in a Singapore landed property, fully installed with BCA submission included. Three-stop and premium finishes push the upper end higher.
The Established Brand Distributors
Stannah, Aritco, and Cibes are the three brand names you will see most often in Singapore landed homes. Each has appointed local distributors who handle the sales, installation, and after-sales servicing. Pricing for a two-stop unit from these brands typically lands between $55,000 and $95,000 depending on cabin finish and shaft type.
The advantage is that spare parts and trained technicians stay available for years — important when your lift needs servicing in 2030. The downside is less pricing flexibility and longer lead times during busy quarters. If your top priority is brand reassurance for your parents who will use the lift daily, this tier is the safer pick.
Smaller Specialist Installers
Singapore also has a handful of smaller outfits — usually 5 to 15 people — who specialise in vacuum lifts and compact residential traction lifts. These teams can be $5,000 to $15,000 cheaper than the brand distributors for a comparable two-stop install and are often more flexible on cabin customisation.
Quality varies. The good ones do excellent work on tight retrofit jobs where a big firm would push back. The weaker ones cut corners on shaft sealing or skip the BCA Periodic Inspection paperwork. Always ask for two recent project addresses you can drive past, and check whether their site supervisor is actually present during the install — not just on day one.
DirectHome — How We Fit In
We are not the lift manufacturer and we do not employ the installers directly. What we do is run the project end to end: site survey, BCA-compliant submission coordination, contractor selection from our network, weekly progress checks, and a final walkthrough with you. The installer on site might be one of the specialists above — we pick based on the home, not the margin.
This works well for landed owners who do not want to manage three quotes, chase a BCA submission consultant, and supervise tilers when the lift shaft handover happens. It costs roughly the same as going direct because we negotiate volume with our network. It does not work as well if you enjoy project-managing renovations yourself — in that case, go direct to a brand distributor.
Questions to Ask Every Company
Before you sign anything, ask: who is the BCA-registered Specialist Builder for the lift installation? Who handles the BCA submission and Permit to Use? What is the response time for a breakdown call after 6pm? How many similar installs have you done in the last 18 months? What is the annual maintenance contract cost from year two?
Watch how the salesperson answers. The good ones know the answers without checking. The bad ones promise to 'get back to you' and then send a glossy brochure. The lift will be in your home for 20 years — pick the company that gives you straight answers on day one.
How to Shortlist in One Afternoon
Aim for three site visits, not seven. Pick one big-brand distributor, one specialist installer, and one project manager like us. Compare the three quotes line by line — shaft, lift, BCA, finishes, maintenance. If one quote is 30 percent cheaper than the others, find out exactly what is missing before celebrating.
If you want us to short-circuit this for you, WhatsApp DirectHome at +65 8223 3005 and we will book a site visit within three days. You will still get other quotes — we recommend that — but you will at least have a baseline to compare them against.
