Photograph the approach as well as the stairs
Take a view from the bottom showing the whole flight, a view from the top and a separate view of each turn or intermediate landing. Add the hall at the bottom and the space where the user will leave the chair upstairs. Show nearby doors in their open position and identify any doorway used regularly.
Photograph from stable floor positions. Do not lean over a void or climb to obtain a better angle. Remove private documents from view before sharing the photographs.

Send a short description of how the lift will be used
Tell the supplier which floors matter, how many intended users there are, whether someone assists with sitting or standing and whether a walking aid is needed at either landing. Explain recurring difficulties in ordinary language. A functional description is more useful at first contact than an unexplained medical label.
Include any planned carpet, railing, flooring or staircase work. Give the desired installation period as a planning preference and ask what information must be confirmed before the supplier can commit to it.

Ask for a survey output, not an early promise
Request a measured layout identifying the proposed rail, boarding and leaving positions, parking, charging and any work assigned to another contractor. Ask the supplier to list assumptions that the visit still needs to resolve.
