For a new build, establish whether the pool amount includes excavation and disposal, the water-retaining structure, waterproofing and finishes, filtration, overflow collection and balancing equipment, electrical work, testing and commissioning. If the design has a separate edge pump, its electrical input and operating hours give a useful first calculation: kilowatts × hours per day × days × your electricity rate. For a hypothetical pump drawing 0.75 kW for six hours a day, that is 135 kWh over 30 days. At an assumed all-in rate of S$0.30/kWh, the extra pump would cost S$40.50 for that month. These are example inputs, not a measured infinity-pool bill or current tariff.
Use the proposed pump’s actual electrical consumption at its operating setting, rather than treating its output or horsepower label as the bill.
