Locate the systems before selecting the tiles
An attic bathroom can make the room more independent, but its position affects more than the attic floor. Ask the team to trace the proposed water supply, sanitary discharge, ventilation and maintenance access through the building. The preferable fixture arrangement may change once those routes are understood.
PUB requires Licensed Plumbers for regulated water-service and sanitary work and identifies QP responsibilities for relevant building projects. It also identifies PE involvement where plumbing-system design includes pumping equipment or a storage tank. Ask the team to state the appointments and submissions for this particular proposal.

Do not stop the services sketch at the bathroom wall. Request enough route information to understand what other parts of the house are affected and what remains unverified.

Compare moving the bathroom before forcing a route
Consider a hypothetical attic bedroom with the bathroom initially placed beside the best view. If that position requires intrusive work through a retained room below, ask the designer for an alternative closer to an existing services zone. Compare the visible tradeoff upstairs with the construction and maintenance consequences downstairs.
Neither location is automatically right. The view may matter enough to justify the work; the simpler route may preserve a much-valued ceiling below. The decision becomes clearer when both concepts show the full route and actual affected finishes.
Use the roof slope honestly
A shower, toilet and basin require different movements. Review their positions in the finished section, including floor build-up, waterproofing interfaces and ceiling. Have the QP establish the applicable requirements rather than copying a generic minimum-height rule. BCA lists conditional owner-use exemptions, including particular bathroom and attic provisions.

Agree what will be checked before it is concealed
Ask the team to define relevant inspections or tests and to record the installed routes before closing ceilings and boxing. Assign responsibility for each waterproofing-to-pipe junction. Do not let one contractor’s “plumbing complete” and another’s “waterproofing complete” leave their connection unassigned.
If the route or floor construction is still provisional, keep the bathroom scope conditional. It is better to compare two feasible room arrangements than price a bathroom whose consequences below have not been shown.
