Compare the exact indoor and outdoor combination
A multi-split system connects several indoor units to an outdoor unit. Ask for the complete model combination and the available capacity under the relevant simultaneous operation, together with the supplier’s selection basis. The marketed system number identifies a configuration category, not a guarantee that every room receives its nominal capacity at once.
Mitsubishi Electric Singapore publishes model and capacity information for its local Starmex range. Manufacturer combination tables show why the matched system matters. Use the documentation for the locally supplied models; an overseas model with a similar name may have different details.
Compare zoning and the effect of a shared outdoor-unit fault. Separate systems may offer different resilience and siting options but also need space, electrical provision and maintenance access. Choose from the whole installation and operating brief rather than assume one arrangement is always cheaper to run.

Place indoor units where they can cool and be serviced

Condensate drainage is a design task, especially where units sit far from a suitable outlet or ceilings are constrained. Ask the installer to mark the route, falls where relevant, access points and any pump on the coordinated drawings before ceilings close.

NEA’s tick rating helps compare the efficiency of regulated appliances. Check the label for the quoted model and relevant system configuration. It does not calculate the load of your room or guarantee a particular electricity bill.
